Spaces are minimal. Please reserve a spot for your entry before all slots are filled. To enter the contest, you must attend the Kansas Doll Show on Saturday and Sunday. Winners will be announced on the showroom floor on Sunday at Noon.

BEST FANTASY DOLL CATEGORY

• You will be judged on your creativity in this category. The most creative entry will win! It's time to show everyone how creative you can be. Let your imagination run wild!​

​

ALL ENTRIES will be of the same doll kit! Modifications to the kit can be made in the fantasy contest category. 

 

The chosen kit is Peeka by Bonnie Brown. 

Bonnie Brown and Bobbi Barfoot of Tru Born will have these kits in stock soon. 

 

​                        IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE READ:

• In this category, your entry can be painted however you want.

• Modifications to the chosen kit can be made. 

• Only one entry per contestant. 

• Let your imagination run wild. Show us how creative you can be!!!

• All work must be 100% completed by you! 

• Your creation can have rooted, pencil applied, painted hair or even left bald.

• Your entry can be dressed however you would like to achieve the look you are going for. The clothing can be purchased and does not need to be made by the contestant.

• You can have small props and accessories in this category. But the props must stay within the contest basket along with your contest entry.

• You must bring a white blanket to place your entry on and any other blankets to place in the basket that is provided by the Kansas Doll Show to pose your creation in.

You may pose and display your fantasy creation that Saturday morning before the show begins at the contest staging area. However, you can only return to it once the judging has been completed.

 

Please have your entry covered completely before entering the contest staging area. Remember, your entries NEED TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS!!! Keep them out of public display. Dolls submitted for judging cannot be published before submission. You are NOT ALLOWED to touch your contest baby while being displayed at the show during judging. You are also NOT ALLOWED to mention which entry is yours while voting occurs. 

You may be disqualified if you fail to follow the rules as mentioned.

Owners are responsible for picking up contest entries after judging has ended on Saturday at the contest staging area! Once picked up, vendors may place their contest baby for sale at their booth or table. Non-Vendors are not allowed to sell their contest entry at the show.

​

The Kansas Doll Show will provide white baskets for you to pose your entry in. Please bring any small blankets for the basket for posing purposes. The outer blanket must be white in color to display your creation on but may be covered with small props and accessories.

​

An esteemed panel of judges will judge all entries for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

KDS does not participate in the judging.

The People's Choice Award is voted on by the public. Everyone attending the Kansas Doll Show will be allowed to vote once for their FAVORITE ENTRY out of all three categories combined.

         Only one award is given for People's Choice.
