Maintenance, Fixes, and Tricks Class

• Sedgwick Room (Located near the Hotel Restaurant)

Class Fee:

$249.00

• Pay in full or reserve your seat with a $75 non-refundable deposit.

• When you pay the deposit, you may pay the remaining balance in payments.

• All payments are non-refundable unless the reserved space can be filled by another student, either by you or by us.

• This class welcomes all students, but is crafted particularly with collectors in mind.

About this class:

No reborning or painting skills needed!
 

This is a Maintenance, Fixes & Tricks Class designed especially for collectors who want to better understand, care for, and customize their dolls. This is NOT a reborn painting class! This is a HANDS-ON workshop where you’ll learn practical, confidence-building skills to maintain and enhance the dolls you already love.

 

Many collectors have dolls they’d like to refresh or personalize, changing the body, adjusting the stuffing, fine-tuning weight, adding magnets, or even piercing ears.

 

In this class, you’ll discover how to safely make these adjustments and more, all with expert guidance.

 

Class Details:

In this class you will learn how to:

• Safely clean vinyl

• Care for rooted hair and eyelashes

• Change zip-ties

• Stuff and re-stuff to your liking

• Use proper weighing techniques for all ages

• Add magnets

• Pierce ears

• Correctly display and store your dolls

• AND SO MUCH MORE!!!

 

You will fully assemble a doll from beginning to end using our best tips and tricks. We’ll demonstrate how to change or insert eyes and how to re-varnish a doll with shiny areas. You’re encouraged to ask questions throughout the class and we’ll be right beside you with personalized, hands-on instruction every step of the way.

You’ll receive everything you need for the class, including:

• Blank Doll Kit 

• Cloth Body

• Zip-Tie Cutters

• Zip-Ties

• Stuffing

• Glass Beads (enough to practice weighing techniques)

• Stockings

• Blanket

• Pacifier & Magnet

• Sample of Varnish & Brush/Sponge

• Brush & Conditioner for rooted hair care

• Superglue & Applicator

• Safe Duster & Cloth

All materials will be neatly packed in a storage container/bag, perfect for organizing your supplies and traveling with your doll.

• A lamp (optional, but recommended)

• A magnifier (optional, but recommended)

You will go home with an assembled (blank) doll, wrapped in a cozy blanket, along with an extensive toolkit that includes every tool we use during the demonstrations. This kit will equip you with everything you need to confidently care for, maintain, and “fix” any reborn doll you own!
