ABOUT THE SHOW

• What is the Kansas Doll Show?

The Kansas Doll Show is an artist-focused doll show featuring reborn, silicone, and fantasy dolls, along with handmade doll clothing, accessories, and doll-making supplies. Our participating artists and vendors bring their own work and creativity to share with the doll community.

KDS is not a traditional Barbie or antique doll show.

• When and where is the 2027 Kansas Doll Show?

The 10th Annual Kansas Doll Show, Camp KDS, takes place September 4–5, 2027, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport in Wichita, Kansas.

• What is this year's show theme?

Camp KDS… S’more fun awaits! This is our 10th Annual doll show, with a camping-inspired theme celebrating the doll community.

 

It's about gathering together, enjoying the show, and making memories with old and new friends.

​

• Do I need to know anything about dolls before attending?

Not at all! Whether you're an experienced collector, a doll artist, or simply curious, you're welcome. Take your time exploring, enjoy the creations, and ask artists about their work.

​

• Can I attend by myself?

Absolutely! You are welcome to attend on your own, with family, or with friends. Camp KDS is a place to discover, connect, and enjoy the doll community at your own pace.

ADMISSION & SHOPPING

• Do I need to purchase General Admission tickets in advance?

No. General Admission tickets are sold at the show. Early Bird tickets must be purchased in advance through the online KDS Store.

​

• What is an Early Bird ticket?

Early Bird admission allows ticket holders to enter the showroom before General Admission begins on Saturday morning. A limited number of Early Bird tickets include a special goodie bag.

​

• Who can pick up my Early Bird tickets and prepaid merchandise?

The purchaser must enter the full name of the person who will physically collect the order in the required pickup name field at checkout.

​

The purchaser does not have to be the person picking up the order. Only the person named in the pickup name field may collect it.

​

The designated pickup person must present:

• The original Kansas Doll Show order confirmation email (printed copy preferred; digital copy accepted).

• A valid government-issued photo ID.

​​

No substitutions or name changes are permitted after purchase.

​

Early Bird tickets and wristbands: Pickup is available Friday, September 3, from 4:00–5:00 PM, or Saturday before the show opens.

​

Camp KDS merchandise: Pickup is available Friday, September 3, from 4:00–5:00 PM, or during regular show hours on Saturday or Sunday.

​

All orders are pickup only. Shipping is not available.

​

• Can I shop on both days?

Yes! The Kansas Doll Show is open to the public on both Saturday and Sunday. Please check Show Information for daily hours and designated shopping times.

 

• ​Can I purchase from the artists and vendors?

Yes! Shopping directly with participating artists and vendors is a wonderful way to discover their work and support the doll community.

​

Individual vendors determine which payment methods they accept, so bring the payment options you prefer.

​

• Can I buy KDS merchandise at the show?

Some KDS merchandise will be available at the event. Camp KDS 2027 themed merchandise must be purchased in advance through the online KDS Store and picked up at the show. Additional themed merchandise may be available at the event if extras remain.

BRINGING DOLLS TO KDS

• May I bring my own doll to the Kansas Doll Show?

Absolutely! We love seeing the dolls visitors bring. Each attendee may bring one authentic doll onto the showroom floor.

​

Your doll must have a KDS identification band. Please visit Show Information for the personal doll policy and details about bringing your doll into the showroom.

​​

• Are Paradise Galleries and Ashton-Drake dolls allowed?

Yes! Authentic dolls from Paradise Galleries, Ashton-Drake, and other legitimate manufacturers are welcome.

​

Mass-produced does not automatically mean counterfeit. Legitimate manufactured dolls are welcome as long as they are genuine and honestly represented.

• Do I need a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)?

No. A Certificate of Authenticity is not required to bring a doll to KDS. Some dolls come with documentation, while others do not.

 

The absence of a certificate does not automatically mean a doll is counterfeit, and a certificate alone does not guarantee authenticity.

​

Visitors are expected to bring authentic dolls and represent them honestly.

​

• What if I am unsure whether my doll is authentic?

We understand that identifying authentic dolls can be confusing, especially if you are new to the doll community. If you have concerns about a particular doll, please contact KDS before the show. We would rather help clarify our policy ahead of time than have you arrive feeling uncertain.

AUTHENTICITY & COUNTERFEITS

• ​What is considered a counterfeit doll?

A counterfeit doll is an unauthorized imitation of a genuine doll or product, or a doll falsely represented as an authentic creation from a particular artist or manufacturer.

​

This may include unauthorized copies of original sculpts, counterfeit branded dolls, or dolls misrepresented as the work of a particular sculptor, artist, or manufacturer.

​

A doll is not automatically counterfeit because it is inexpensive, mass-produced, purchased secondhand, or missing a Certificate of Authenticity. What matters is whether the product is genuine, authorized, and honestly represented.

​

• Why doesn't KDS allow counterfeit dolls?

The Kansas Doll Show is committed to respecting original work and supporting the artists, sculptors, and legitimate manufacturers whose creativity makes our community possible.

​

Unauthorized copies can harm artists and businesses and mislead collectors. We do not permit counterfeit dolls or products misrepresented as authentic at our show.

​

Our policy is intended to protect and educate the doll community, not to judge or shame anyone who may have unknowingly purchased a counterfeit.

​

• What is the difference between a sculpt, a reborn doll, and a manufactured doll?

• Sculpt: The original design or sculpted form created by a sculptor. A sculpt may be licensed or otherwise authorized for production.

• Reborn doll: A doll transformed by an artist through painting, rooting hair, and other realistic details, often using a genuine kit made from an authorized sculpt.

• Authentic manufactured doll: A genuine doll produced and sold by its legitimate manufacturer, even when many identical dolls are made.

A reborn doll does not have to be one of a kind in every component to be authentic. What matters is that the underlying kit or product is genuine and the doll is represented honestly.

• May I bring a doll to sell or offer items to other visitors?

​The showroom is intended for shopping with participating KDS artists and vendors. Personal sales, solicitation, and selling outside an assigned vendor space are not permitted.

​

• May I bring a stroller into the showroom?

Strollers are not permitted on the showroom floor, but they may be used in the hotel lobby. Stroller rental information is available on our Show Information page.

​

• Are wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, and other mobility devices allowed?

Yes! Wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers, and other medical or mobility assistance devices are welcome on the showroom floor.

​

We ask all visitors to keep aisles and walkways clear and allow everyone enough room to move comfortably.

​

• How can I be considerate of visitors with mobility devices?

Please allow visitors using mobility devices enough room to move through the showroom, browse displays, and shop comfortably.

​

Avoid crowding them, stepping in front of them, or blocking their path. Please be patient and allow everyone the space they need.

​

A little patience and kindness go a long way in making KDS welcoming for everyone.

​

• May I touch or pick up dolls on display?

Please ask the artist or vendor for permission before touching or picking up a doll. Some dolls and displays are delicate, and the artist can explain the best way to handle their creations.

​

Please respect each artist's merchandise, displays, and workspace.

​

• May I take photographs?

Please ask permission before photographing a vendor's dolls, artwork, displays, or work area. Respect an artist's wishes if they prefer that something not be photographed.

​

If you would like to photograph another visitor, please ask their permission as well.

​

• Am I responsible for my personal belongings?

Please keep your personal belongings with you and take care of your purchases throughout your visit. KDS cannot guarantee the security of unattended personal items.

​

• Are outside events or organized doll-related activities allowed during show week?

Outside or unofficial doll-related events and organized activities during KDS show week require prior approval from the Kansas Doll Show. Informal socializing, such as meeting friends for dinner or chatting in the hotel lobby, is welcome.

• What should I do if I need assistance during the show?

Please ask a KDS team member for assistance. We want you to feel welcome and enjoy your time at the Kansas Doll Show.

• Does the Kansas Doll Show offer classes?

Yes! KDS offers class opportunities taught by talented artists and instructors. Visit our Classes page for information about class offerings, instructors, registration, and scheduling.

• Where can I stay during the show?

The Kansas Doll Show takes place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport. Visit Hotel & Travel for hotel information and room-block details.

• Is parking available?

​

• How can I help keep the showroom comfortable for everyone?

​Please be considerate of other visitors and artists. Keep aisles and walkways clear, avoid blocking displays, and leave room for others to browse. Please follow directions from KDS staff and hotel personnel.
